Jul 02, 2015 Hi everyone, so. I've been google-ing trying to download the mac client of FFXIV. I currently play on my windows desktop, but I'm going away on a trip for several days and I wanted to be able to log in FFXIV on my macbook, and I keep encountering a paywall just to get the mac client.
Click on the Text box (the T in a square). Move the text box onto the place where you need to add the tick. Type Option/Alt + V. This is how to type a tick on a Mac keyboard. Installation
- Click the 'Download' button to begin.
- Double-click the file (FINAL_FANTASY_XIV_ONLINE_x64.dmg) once the download is complete. Follow the on-screen instructions and drag the FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE icon into the Applications folder.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV will then be installed in the Applications folder, and the launcher icon will appear on the desktop.
* The game requires at least 60GB of free space on the destination hard drive.
* You will need administration privileges to install the application.
For Users of the 32-bit Application
To carry over settings from the 32-bit application, you need to upload your settings using the Server Backup option, which can be found in the character selection screen.

■Warning for Users Who Started Up FFXIV Before Service Began
We have confirmed an issue wherein unintended files were created if you started up the Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV before Jun. 23, 2015 12:00 a.m. (PDT).
To resolve this issue, please delete the files located in ~/Library/Application Support/FINAL FANTASY XIV/
■IME (input method editor) Support
The Mac version of FINAL FANTASY XIV supports the OS’s default IME to input special text characters.
Please note that any other IMEs may cause text input to not function properly.
We are currently focusing on finding ways to display IME mode changes while in fullscreen mode. Further information on this will be provided as it becomes available.
■Transferring Configuration Settings from Windows to Mac
Users can back up their game settings from the Windows version and transfer them to the Mac version.
